Working With Families of Mesothelioma Victims

Jennifer: It is a really confusing time for them and there are so many issues that eventually I usually do end up speaking also with family members because they are given a lot of information from the beginning regarding what their options on, whether they need workers’ compensation, whether they have liens that need to be addressed and what is going to happen with their legal affairs.  And at the beginning when they have been diagnosed with a disease, it is confusing for them so usually, if they have close family members, I may end up meeting with some of them as well to explain again exactly what is going to happen, let’s say with their parents’ trusts or their will or their health insurance or with Medicare.

Male: Do you enjoy what you do?

Jennifer: I do.  I like working directly with the clients.  They are very appreciative for the work that we do for them.

Male: What do you like most about your role or your position here at the firm?

Jennifer: I like that Bobby handles their cases in court.  He does the litigation for their case in court here and that I can handle the day-to-day needs of the clients and kind of help ease their minds during a difficult time for them and make sure all their legal needs are being taken care of.
