Why Sue for Mesothelioma?

Sometimes when I’m meeting with new clients, they tell me that I’m not the type of person to sue, and they express some reluctance. They’re not out for any handouts. They’re not trying to get something out of this. But they just feel like this is wrong, and that’s why they’re talking to an attorney about it.

The literature has shown since as far back as the 1930s that asbestos was hazardous. These companies that made and sold asbestos products knew that asbestos was dangerous, and they could have substituted another product in. They could have put a warning saying don’t breathe the dust – it’s hazardous. But they didn’t do any of those things. They sold the product that they knew was dangerous, and that they knew caused disease. That product ultimately caused your mesothelioma. You should not have the disease right now. If they had done what they were suppose to do back in the ‘30s and ‘40s, you wouldn’t have the disease right now.

And it’s my job to try to get you some compensation to right that wrong as much as I can right it. I can’t give your health back, but I can try to get you some compensation for the wrong that’s been done to you.
