The value of your case in any circumstance is only determined by what can be proven in a courtroom. What you may think about your case, what you’ve been through, et cetera, it’s all important, but unless we can prove it in court, the case has no value.
So your attorney has to be an experienced trial attorney because they have to review the case in a way that they understand that ultimately this case is going to have go up in front of a jury – or may have to go in front of a jury, and everything has to be moved in that direction to get it to that place. And the attorney has to understand this.
I can tell you for a fact that the insurance adjusters understand this. So that if you don’t have in mind from the get-go to have this case moving toward trial, even if it settles, the case is not going to have anywhere near as good a value. So your attorney has to understand what the elements are that go into preparing the case for trial, even if you want to settle the case.
