About Stephen Murphy

My name is Stephen Murphy and I’m a partner at Block, O’Toole & Murphy.  I’m a New Yorker born and bred.  Before joining the firm, I was a prosecutor for nearly eight years.  I handled high profile cases in Brooklyn’s Homicide Bureau.  Now I continue to use my experience and skill in the courtroom to fight on behalf of people who can’t fight for themselves.  In addition to being named one of America’s premier trial lawyers by Fox News Radio, I have also recorded the largest nonmedical malpractice verdict in Long Island history.  I currently serve on the New York State Trial Lawyers Association Board of Directors, and outside of the courtroom I’m an adjunct professor at Saint John’s University School of Law teaching trial advocacy.
