Erb’s Palsy or brachial plexus injuries, there are different degrees of this type of injury. Some will resolve on their own or with minimal therapy, and hopefully that’s what would happen to the child over a course of years. However, a lot of these injuries are permanent in nature, and there are different levels of brachial plexus or Erb’s Palsy. Some require surgery. Most of them will require some form of therapy. It could be long-term therapy. And a child with an Erb’s Palsy can have difficulty in different maneuvers or movements and limitations with motion of the arm which could impact the child’s life.
