Seizure

Control of seizures can be a real problem in the process of the healing process of a traumatic brain injury and many times in these cases we have had patients who suffered a serious brain injury in an accident of one kind or another and subsequently develop seizure disorders and getting the seizures under control and the medicines and the consequences of the medicines are challenged and it is really important for the team, the doctors, the lawyers, the rehab people really understand the seizure disorder and how it affects the person. For example, a person may be able to be get to the point whether he can get back to work but they have a seizure disorder and they have to take medication for that seizure disorder. What does that mean in terms of their long range of employability? How is that going to affect their ability to earn money in the future? How long they will be able to work and that all has to be part of the plan that you develop to represent a client with this type of serious injury. What are the components? What are the consequences of the brain injury including seizure disorder?
