Hi, I’m Cincinnati motorcycle attorney Anthony Castelli. Today I’d like to speak with you a bit about attorney ratings. How did you decide on the ratings that you see on attorneys, or how do you decide on a picking a motorcycle accident attorney?
The biggest ratings system and the most longstanding, the most respected, is by Martindale-Hubbell. Their highest rating is AV, the one is for ethics and the other one is for ability. They’re now in the process of changing their rating system to a five-point rating system, five being the highest. That's a peer rating system. They ask other attorneys and other judges to rate the individual attorney.
There's also the rating that you see in the Super Lawyers magazine. Some people are listed as Super Lawyers in that magazine. Again, that's supposed to be an impartial system where they survey people.
But you know what I think the best thing is? I think the best thing is results. What has been the track record of this attorney? And who can you find those results from but from his clients.
So what I’ve done on my Web site is I’ve put up testimonials. You’ll see on my homepage there's a testimonial from a family. And the case doesn't say it on the testimonial page, but it was a motorcycle accident. I have, actually, a page where there are testimonials, so that you can read about what my clients have said about me.
I don't put the results of my cases up on my Web site, because the results vary from case to case to case to case, so I don't want to have anybody get a wrong idea about what their case is worth. Each case is different.
So the best thing that you can do is take a look at the website, educate yourself about that attorney and see if he has some testimonials on there.
I very much appreciate you taking the time to listen to my message today about attorney ratings. Thanks a lot.
