Improper Staffing of Nursing Homes

Attorney Duncan Garnett

You know, let me say first of all that there are many dedicated nurses and CNA and other personnels who work in nursing homes.  Regrettably, however, nursing homes have become big business.  They are oftentimes multi-state business and they are run by the bottom line and so it cost more money to have the appropriate and necessary staffing.

So very often the decision is made intentionally to have less staffing than the nursing homes should have to provide the level of care you deserve for your loved one.  And so it is really a matter of having too few people to attend to too many residents.
