Many people walk in and say, “How do I determine whether I want you to represent me”?  And my response is relatively simple, what did you do when you picked the doctor that did the surgery?  Did you go for the best or did you listen to your neighbor down the street to tell you who to go to?  

If you did your due diligence, you asked everybody you could about who that doctor was and you checked out his qualifications.  You made sure he was board certified in the area or specialty involved.  Well the same thing with the lawyer you’re going to select.  You make sure he’s the best; you make sure he has the best reputation.  You make sure he has all the certifications and is recognized by his peers as one of the best.

We’re one of the best but there are a lot of other lawyers out there who are very, very good.  It really comes down to if you are dealing with the best and you’re picking the best then who are you most comfortable with?  Who’s the personality that you get along with the most?  So it comes down to your comfort level as long as you’re dealing with the best. 

We have done more malpractice litigation probably than any other firm in this state.  We’ve handled thousands and thousands of cases, hundreds of brain damaged babies, breast cancer cases, wrongful death cases.  From an experience point of view you’ll probably find no firm that has more experience then we have.  Now the question is do we fit?  Do you get along with me, do I get along with you, are you going to be comfortable with the personalities?  And that’s the choice that you have to make.
