Complexity of Mesothelioma Litigation

There are many fine lawyers practicing in the United States, but there are actually very few lawyers who have the experience I believe necessary to successfully handle an asbestosis, lung cancer, or mesothelioma claim.  Particularly with lung cancer and mesothelioma, you’re experiencing a case with highly complex medical issues – issues of causation, and you’re dealing with what are in the millions of documents.  

The typical client I represent won’t sue a single defendant because they haven’t been exposed to asbestos from a single defendant.  We may sue eighty defendants on their behalf, and we may be able to successfully prosecute or get settlements against two dozen or more.  And to have the knowledge of what defendants to sue, what defendants made asbestos-containing products during what time period.  Where were those products distributed geographically?  In what industry?  What trades?  And what documents indicate that these corporations knew that they were making a dangerous product that would injure people who were users of that product?  

In my opinion, you need years of experience, and the opportunity to review thousands and millions sometimes of documents to come up with the right case to adequately represent your client.
