Birth Injury
Most common injuries that give raise to birth injury claims are injuries that result when a baby doesn’t get enough oxygen immediately before or at the time of delivery. This can occur for any number of reasons but the child suffers what is called Uteroplacental Insufficiency .What that means is the uterus which is connected to the child and provides nutrients and oxygenation through the placenta and through the Umbilical Cord. The flow of those nutrients and the flow of that oxygen somehow gets interrupted and when that occurs, the baby doesn’t get enough oxygen and then suffers injuries that can be frequently devastating.
